Red Riding Hood film

Director: Tereza Stehlíková, 2012
Music: Irena and Vojtech Havel
Running time (in minutes): 7:30 min

This film is part of my PhD research, conducted at the Royal College of Art, London (2008-12). It is loosely based on the story of Little Red Riding Hood, and explores concepts of haptic visuality (as discussed by academics such as Laura U Marks). As we embark on a physical journey into the depth of a forest, the surrounding landscape is slowly transformed into an otherworldly environment, adopting features of the protagonist’s mind, merging with her memories and imaginations, until the distinction between internal and external worlds is erased.
