TANGIBLE TERRITORY journal

TANGIBLE TERRITORY JOURNAL is an independent online publication founded and edited by artist and researcher Tereza Stehlíková. The journal serves as a multidisciplinary platform exploring the interplay between the body, sensory experience, memory, place, imagination, and technology, with a particular emphasis on how these are shaped in today’s increasingly digitised world.

Bringing together voices from the fields of art, science, philosophy, anthropology, ecology, and sensory studies, the journal fosters dialogue across disciplines. Its central focus is on how embodied, tangible, and lived experiences relate to abstract, mediated, or technologically driven forms of knowing.

Each thematically curated issue features essays, interviews, creative texts, and visual contributions that reflect on the value of sensory and place-based knowledge. Through this, the journal aims to question prevailing modes of perception and meaning-making and to offer alternatives that are grounded in the sensory, the personal, and the situated.
